My name is Barry Beach. I am a freelance web designer/developer based in Jefferson City, Missouri. I do web design, web applications, graphic and logo design, reseller hosting, e-commerce solutions, and maintenance. I specialize in data driven, dynamic websites using HTML, PHP, MySQL, AJAX, Javascript and Flash.

I have been creating web sites for over a decade. I started as a hobby. Now my first website is currently in its fourth re-design, and I have made my hobby into a career. I taught myself most of everything I know, but I have had formal web development training as well.

As a freelancer I care about the quality of my work. There is no large sales force here, I depend on the quality of my websites to bring me more work. If your website looks bad, that makes me look bad.

I work one-on-one with my clients from the initial needs assessment to the final website approval. The customer has 24/7 access to support and during development, can view progress on the project at any time.

I build small to medium sized custom websites. If you want to create a 100 page web site with large databases and lots of programming, and you need it done yesterday, you would do better to go to a large design firm. A website of that size will need more than one person to complete in a reasonable amount of time. If I feel your site is too large for one person to handle I will recommend a larger company. As a freelance designer, the web sites I create are my advertising. I care if you get traffic and will optimize your site for top search engine placement. When I build something I want it to be seen.

Sure, you could build your own site using templates or 'canned' pages. Your site would work, but it would also look 'prefabricated'. I don't use templates. When I build a site for someone, I start from scratch and create the layout and graphics by hand so that they'll fit the business itself. Before you choose a web designer, compare some of the sites I've built with others. I feel confident you'll like what I've done.
